Three
different nozzles are included with the pointing machine which enable the
making of joints that range from 5 to 25 mm in width. Two metal tabs make
it possible to fix the model of your choice to the nose of the tank.
A
trigger enables the regulation, control and stoppage of the flow of mortar.
It includes a toothed wheel that permits the adjustment of the maximum speed
of work. A switch permits a continuous flow.
Before
plugging in the pointing machine, wet the inner surface of the tank, so that
the mortar doesn’t stick to the sides.
The
tank is filled with a creamy pointing mortar. «LP Joint» by Laporte
is recommended because its granulation is specially adapted.
Once
the nozzle is placed in the joint and once the regulator of mortar is on,
the pointing machine is to be regularly and continuously pulled, allowing
the flow of mortar to be reduced when it comes to intersections. The pointing
is made by sectors starting with all parallel joints.
Perpendicular
joints are then filled, the flow being regulated at intersections if necessary.
When
the tank is empty, it must be cleaned at once, the same applies to the nozzle.
After having unplugged the machine, you must first pull out the pushing rod
which is linked to the motor block.
The
motor block can be taken off by pulling the upper tie out and bringing it
out of the two lower fix lugs. Reassembling follows the inverse order.
The
tank and the removed nozzle are cleaned by immersing in, or by water jet cleaning.
Eventual dirt marks on the motor block may be removed with a damp sponge only.
